Choose whether you would like a surface design on your individually made ring. This is your opportunity to design a traditional band or a more unusual contemporary style for your wedding ring.
For a classic wedding band, this option will show the full beauty of the precious metal. Each ring is carefully hand finished through filing, emery and polishes of graduating fineness to achieve the highest quality finish.
A 2mm wide strip of contrasting coloured precious metal is hand inlaid into the centre surface of the base wedding band. This is then filed and smoothed to make a completely flush fit. The best result is then to brush or frost the surface of the ring to enable the contrasting colour to stand out for a really eye catching design. The minimum width of band for this effect is 4mm. but can be crafted into any profile of band.
This design comprises a 1mm round precious metal wire in a contrasting colour being inset into a hand filed groove around the centre circumference of the base wedding band. This gives a defined profile as shown and looks stunning with both a polished or matt finish on the band. All profiles and widths are suitable for this option.
A hand incised groove as above, but this is a single diagonal line around the centre of the band which starts and finishes 1mm from the edge of the band. This is suitable for all widths and profiles of band. A contrasting matt and polished finish either side of the line creates a dramatic yet minimalist design.
Parallel lines are hand incised around the outer edges of your band at a 1mm distance from the edges of the band. Both a polished or matt finish can be used, although a matt centre and polished edges is the most popular, as illustrated here. This design is suitable for all widths and profiles of bands, although it should be noted that if this is selected for a 3mm band then the grooves and centre will all be the same distance apart (i.e 1mm stripes).
